At times, life can feel dark, heavy, or empty, as though joy, meaning, or colour has faded. This may arise suddenly in response to a painful life event, or it may feel like a weight you have been quietly carrying for a long time.
You may notice thoughts such as:
When persistent sadness, hopelessness, emotional numbness, or a loss of interest in life become the norm, it may be a sign that you are experiencing symptoms of depression. Depression is a natural human response to pain, loss, overwhelm, or unmet emotional needs.

Signs Depression May Be Impacting Your Life
If these experiences feel familiar, support may be helpful.

Depression can feel incredibly lonely to navigate on your own. My aim is to offer a gentle, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can reflect, share, and make sense of your emotional experience.
When individuals are supported to speak about their inner world, they often begin to identify patterns in their thoughts, behaviours, relationships, and circumstances. This awareness supports meaningful change, at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe growth happens within relationships grounded in connection, compassion, and acceptance. Together, we work collaboratively to understand your experience of depression and create a personalized plan to support you.
If you are struggling with depression, you do not have to face it alone. Psychotherapy can provide meaningful support, understanding, and guidance as you move toward greater clarity, connection, and relief.
If you are considering therapy for depression or would like to learn more, I invite you to reach out to book a consultation or ask any questions you may have.
In my practice, I offer evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or urges. Therapy provides a space where you are encouraged to speak openly and honestly about any thoughts, feelings, urges, or plans related to suicidality.
My aim is to create a non-judgmental, compassionate, and emotionally safe environment where even the most frightening, intrusive, or painful thoughts can be shared without shame. I believe when someone is struggling with suicidal ideation, it is essential that they do not feel alone with their inner experience.
Therapeutic support is grounded in an empathetic, collaborative, and evidence-based approach informed by best practices, including the Zero Suicide framework from the Zero Suicide Institute.
Together, we work to understand your unique experience, including past and present circumstances that may be contributing to suicidal thoughts. Therapy focuses on increasing safety, emotional understanding, and support, while gently addressing factors that may be intensifying distress.
Support will include:
Professional support for suicidal ideation are always individualized. Therapy typically involves building a trusting therapeutic relationship, increasing emotional tolerance, strengthening protective factors, reducing harmful behaviours, and addressing challenging life circumstances.
If you are seeking ongoing therapeutic support for suicidal thoughts and feel this approach may be a good fit, I invite you to reach out to discuss next steps.
